How I Found A Virtual Assistant From The Philippines - Miracle Maker Mom

Too much to Do! I get it.  You’re trying to run your own business from home so you can stay home with the kids.

But.

There’s. So. Much. To. Do.

You feel like the reason you started this to begin with so you’d have more time for the kids but you feel yourself drowning in all the work that you have with working for yourself that you’re starting to question the whole idea.

Trust me. I’ve been there.

It reminds of when I was a full time stay at home mom (before I started a business) and I had 5 little kids.

I remember asking the advice of an old school teacher of mine who had become somewhat of a mentor to me.

I confided in her that I was utterly overwhelmed and I just couldn’t do it all. She told me the best advice of my life.

She said, “You don’t have to!” She went to explain that I was like the captain of the ship in my home, but a captain doesn’t do everything himself. He just needs to direct the ship.

Awesome advice.

I went on to find cleaning help, babysitting help, teenage homework helpers and find good ways to order things online so as to cut out a lot of my shopping time.I really didn’t need to do it all myself.

In truth, I had learned this lesson the hard way, having been through Mom Burnout.

When I started a business from home, there was so much to do technically that I couldn’t spend all the time I wanted on my content creation.

I realized very quickly that I desperately needed to put this same advice into practice in my work life, or I’d be going under very quickly.

This is Rowil, another great VA I worked with for close to a year. We also met at Onlinejob.

I heard from a friend that she had a Virtual Assistant, or a VA from the Philippines. Her VA helped her do many of the behind the scenes business tasks, those that weren’t the main creative part of the job.

What a great idea! My friend told me about Onlinejobs. There are a lot of very qualified men and women in the Philippines looking for work as a VA.

Their currency converts well against the American Dollar, so they ask for a very reasonable monthly salary.

It also feels really good being able to support women who are working to support their families. Many of the women I interviewed were the sole breadwinners in their homes. I set up an account with Onlinejobs and posted a job.

I interviewed about 10 applicants until I found an amazing VA from the Philippines, whom I adore and admire. I’m telling you, I couldn’t do it without her. (Kristel – you are awesome!)

I started really enjoying my work again, since I could concentrate on all the create work as Kristel was taking care of all the technical work.

I mean let’s face it. Most of us entrepreneurs are the artistic type.

LOVE to CREATE.

Not so fond of all that technical stuff.
