How The Body Code Cured My Asthma and Insomnia
I had asthma and insomnia for years and when I went to the doctor he just told me to pop a pill and take a puffer.
But I didn’t want to spend the rest of my life on sleeping pills and Asthma puffers!!!
I had to get to the root of the problem. Question was - how?
I wanted to somehow have a ‘conversation’ with my body and say, ‘Hey, what’s the problem here?’
Well, not only did I discover the root of my problem, I also learned how to have that ‘conversation’ with my body.
Years ago I became a Body Talk practitioner. The Body Talk is sort of like having a conversation with your body, I must say. But nothing like what I discovered next.
A number of years ago, I went to an Emotion Code seminar. I had initially signed up because it sounded up my alley even though I didn’t really know much about it.
But nothing could have prepared me for what I learned. Dr. Bradley Nelson put together a system that literally allows you ‘walk around your body’ and figure out the source of your problem, both physically and emotionally.
Now I’ve been practicing muscle testing for close to a decade and a half, but The Body Code combines all the previous methods I’ve learned. I have been testing food allergies on my kids since they were little - I would hold up a food to their chest, and then press down on their arm to see if the food is good or not.
But it never occurred to me that my asthma and insomnia were coming from gluten, which they were. Since I never thought of that, I never muscle tested for it.
However, with The Body Code, you can just ask a question, then muscle test using the computer system to guide you to the problem.
The amazing part is that The Body Code System is complex and truly goes through all the systems in the body, but it’s very simple to follow, so even someone with no medical background at all can follow and understand.
By using The Body Code I can really find the root of the problem. Whether it’s due to bone structure, an organ or gland problem, a pathogen, a chakra imbalance, a toxin, emotional problems, and many other issues. Then I muscle test further and the system leads me to know how to correct the problem. It could be through seeing a chiropractor, clearing trapped emotions, going for acupuncture, staying away from certain foods or adding vitamins, or many other options.
One time I had a client, a boy who was having insomnia and terrible muscle spasms in his calves. It came out that he had a problem with his pineal gland. Now the pineal gland secretes melatonin so it made sense that he couldn’t sleep.
But what about the calve muscles? So, I asked how it’s connected.
The Body Code led me, through muscle testing, to the 12 main meridians in the body. It came out to the liver meridian, which starts behind the eyes in the pineal gland, then goes down through the liver, and ends at the bottoms of the legs.
So what did we do about it? We cleared a bunch of trapped liver emotions – he had a lot of them. And the muscle spasms started going away and his insomnia basically disappeared. Isn't that cool?
Another time, my own daughter, who was 4 years old was afraid of going into a new school. We had just moved and she was refusing to go into class every day. Kicking and screaming. I would sit with her for an hour. She was clinging and wouldn’t let me leave.
I was just learning The Emotion Code and so I did some clearing of trapped emotions with her. I kid you not, the next day she skipped off into class by herself, “it’s ok, Mommy, I can go myself.” I was stunned!
Here's another great story. My good friend came over a few times to have her trapped emotions and her heart wall cleared. She was waiting to see how this would help her, when suddenly her spring allergies flared up like crazy for two days and then disappeared entirely. The same spring allergies she’d been suffering from for 20 plus years. Never seen them since!
Learning muscle testing takes practice. But it’s totally worth it. “Practice makes progress.”
I suggest practicing, to begin with, on others. But eventually you can do it on yourself just holding another person in your mind. It works. As Dr. Bradley Nelson says, “I don’t know how it works, I just work here.”
The Body Code has completely changed my life. I still go to doctors, of course, but this system helps us get to the root of the problem without the need for a band-aid to cover up the symptoms.

As for me, as soon as I discovered that gluten was my issue, I stopped eating gluten. And poof, overnight, the insomnia went away (no pun intended). And slowly but surely, after I removed a few other foods I couldn’t eat, my asthma went away as well.
